Volleyball rallies, wins at Brewbaker Tech
MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Volleyball has won 10 of its last 11 games after defeating Brewbaker Tech 3-2 on thursday.
The match went the full five set length in what turned out to be a nailbiter as the Indians rallied from behind to clinch the victory.
The Rams came out of the gate hot, and won the first set 26-24, forcing extra rallies to be played to decide the set.
Their momentum continued, as Brewbaker Tech won the second set 25-16.
With their backs against the wall, the Indians needed to win all three remaining sets to secure a victory in the match- and that is exactly what they did.
The Indians swept the final three sets by scores of 25-16, 25-18, and the fifth and final set 15-11.
Senior Ashlynn Turner led the team with 56 digs, an impressive statline for a single match.
Junior Lillie Trask notched seven blocks in the win and senior outside attacker Carlynn Chumley led the team with 14 kills.
The Indians look to continue their hot streak on Monday as they travel to face Alabama Christian Academy and Elmore County in a tri-match.
