2025 Softball Recap
WETUMPKA, Ala. - Wetumpka Softball continues to set the gold standard in Alabama high school athletics. The Indians are coming off another dominant year, finishing the 2025 season with a 43-7 record and capturing their fifth consecutive area championship. That 40-win mark wasn't new, either—it was the fifth straight season Wetumpka hit that milestone, solidifying their place among the state's elite.
The 2023 season was capped off with the ultimate prize: a Class 6A State Championship. It was a title run built on consistency, depth, and leadership from a core group of players who have raised the bar for the program year after year. That championship wasn't just a victory—it was a reflection of a culture that expects to compete at the highest level.
Leading the way that season was standout athlete Mya Holt, who earned the honor of 2023 Gatorade Player of the Year. Her performance on the field and impact on the team helped push Wetumpka to new heights. With a winning tradition in place and rising stars in the lineup, Wetumpka Softball remains a powerhouse—and they're not slowing down anytime soon.
