Cross Country Releases 2025 Schedule

WETUMPKA, Ala. - Wetumpka Indians Cross Country will step onto the starting line on Sep. 6 for the first meet of the 2025 season.

The team will open the season at the Volunteer Spirit Classic hosted by Central of Clay County. They'll visit the Vols in Lineville twice this year, with the Volunteer Fall Classic on Oct. 11 scheduled.

Wetumpka will become plenty familiar with the Birmingham area this season. Montevallo, Oak Mountain and Spain Park. Following those, they return to the coveted Jesse Owens Classic in Oakville, Ala. In the hometown of the legendary olympian, it is the largest regular season meet in the state of Alabama.

The Indians won't have to travel far for the final regular season meet of the year. Montgomery Academy will host its invitational meet at Gateway Park.

The AHSAA Section Championship will be in Auburn, Ala. Wetumpka, will look for a fourth section championship on the plains.

Wetumpka will wrap its season in Oakville once again for the AHSAA State Championship meet on Nov. 8.
