Flag Football Drops Opener at Prattville
PRATTVILLE, Ala. - Wetumpka Flag Football lost its opening game against Prattville on Tuesday night.
The team entered the game just three weeks after assembling its roster. Head coach Andy Maxwell knew going in that this opening season would be a learning experience for his players.
Wetumpka fell behind early, trailing 21-0 after the first quarter. Things slowed down after that, with a final score of 34-0 Prattville.
The Indians get a couple more weeks of practice as they continue the journey to teach girls the game of flag football. The team will play its second ever game on Sep. 16 when they travel to play Helena.
