Wetumpka Flag Football Heads to Prattville for Inaugural Game
PRATTVILLE, Ala. - Wetumpka Girl's Flag Football is set for the first ever test of its program against Prattville on Tuesday night.
Under head coach Andy Maxwell, the roster was assembled after tryouts on Aug. 8. In the three weeks since then, Maxwell has prepared his team to be ready for the season.
"We are really inexperienced, but we have talent." Maxwell said. "This year will be a learning experience in trying to get these girls more experience."
At the quarterback position is Lexie Smith, dawning the #6 jersey, she'll be trying to lead the offense in the opener. Taylor Carlisle is another girl who will see action in multiple skill positions.
Kickoff is set for 5:30 p.m. at Stanley-Jensen Stadium in Prattville, Ala. Tickets can be purchased HERE.
