XC's Walter Lynch Named FCB Athlete of the Week for Nov. 3

WETUMPKA, Ala. - Boys' Cross Country senior Walter Lynch has been named as the First Community Bank Athlete of the Week for Nov. 3.
Lynch earned medalist honors at the AHSAA 6A Region 2 Sectional Championship in Auburn finishing in second place overall with a 5K time of 17:56:59.
The senior's second place finish helped the Indians' Boys Cross Country team secure it's third region championship in the last four years.
Bennett Williams and Parker Williams finished in third and eigth places, marking three Indians that finished in the top 10.
Lynch and the rest of the Boys' Cross Country team will race for the AHSAA 6A State Championship in Oakville on Nov. 8.
