Senior DE Kieland Thompson named FCB Athlete of the Week for Oct. 20

WETUMPKA, Ala. - Senior defensive end Kieland Thompson has been named as the First Community Bank Athlete of the Week for Oct. 20.
Thompson has been a standout on the Indians defense thus far, leading the team with nine sacks.
He added two to that total in Friday night's 41-6 win over Park Crossing that saw stellar performance on both sides of the ball.
Thompson's stat line came in with an impressive seven total tackles, five of them solo tackles, including two sacks and two tackles for loss and a forced fumble.
Thompson's 9 sacks have him ranked top 10 in the state of Alabama and second in class 6A.
