Logan Fawcett Competes in AHSAA All-Star Baseball Games
MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Wetumpka senior catcher Logan Fawcett shined in the 2025 AHSAA All-Star baseball games at Riverwalk Stadium on Monday.
The senior was selected for the event after being nominated by head coach Russ Brooks. Fawcett was a key piece of the team in Brooks' first season as the head baseball coach.
"To be able to step onto the field, knowing I was representing my hometown was an incredible honor." Fawcett said. "I wanted to make everyone in Wetumpka proud and show what we are all about."
Representing the South team, the South All-Stars and North All-Stars faced off in a two-game doubleheader. Each game was planned to be seven innings. In game one, Fawcett entered as a pinch hitter. Going 2-for-2 at the plate with an RBI as well, he made his presence felt in the 16-6 South win.
Fawcett got the start in game two at catcher. Once again, Fawcett found his way on base. A 1-for-3 showing and a run secured an impressive statline of three hits, a run and an RBI over the two games. The nightcap finished in a 7-7 tie after eight innings played.
Logan Fawcett now sets his sights on the 2026 Wetumpka baseball season, which begins in February.
